James Howard Bain passed away tonight at around 8:00 p.m. CST.
I've never known three people exactly like Carrie (Wallace) Bain, Howard Bain and John Walton Bain. I remember how they were when they were together.
All three rowdy, raucous, and capable of extreme emotion. Generous, colorful, opinionated, and independent. They loved each other deeply . . . they had all come from such difficult and poor beginnings. They loved their families but didn't always know how to say it or show it . . . but it is evident upon reflection.
Each of them struggled in their latter years. Battled illness and lost many of the joys of life.
If what they believed was true . . . they have tonight had a wonderful family reunion.
I can only imagine . . . I am happy for them.
